Kia Ora
Kia ora is a Maori-language greeting which usually translates to ‘hello’, but has other meanings as well.
It is also the code name we used for our Global Expansion Plan.
Why did we name the plan ‘kia ora’? Because even a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. And for us, reaching out to our friends across the Tasman Sea is that first step.
And why are we going global? Because we want to bring the Bitcoin word to as many people as possible. Bitcoin, and Bitcoin only. Forever.
So kia ora and hello world!
Today New Zealanders are invited to sign up to beta test our Bitaroo New Zealand App.
To join the beta testing team, please see www.bitaroo.nz/beta-testing-list and follow the prompts there.
Beta testers will enjoy a 100% fees-free(!) period. Places are limited to first 50 verified testers so you might want to hurry up. First in, best dressed.
A formal New Zealand launch, i.e. having the app on the app stores, enabling kiwis to buy bitcoin at ease and at competitive rates, will take place no later than block 725,000 (but hopefully much sooner).
And after that… oh, after that…
2022 will see Bitaroo expend to several more countries.
Smaller countries will receive the app.
Larger countries will first receive the app and then also the full orderbook exchange platform, with all its bells and whistles.
But that’s not all.
The dev pipeline is full of exciting and delicious treats. Next year, in addition to the global expansion, we will also be introducing additional features and services across both the app and the platform. Things that you asked for and things that we know will benefit many of our existing and future users.
As always, we aim to be your favourite place to Bitcoin. Thank you for your support over the past 21 months and we hope to at least meet, if not exceed, your expectations in years to come.
From our end, we know that 2022 is going to be a great year and we are looking forward to sharing it with you.
